Oh... it's so good to be back. Sorry for being gone for so long, but I definitely appreciated everyone's support! There's no better time than now to be a Busch Basher, as Kyle's "sure-fire championship run" has gone up in smoke in just two weeks! Wooooooo!
Hope to hear from all of you bandwagon Busch fans now!
What Was Prophecy Becomes Reality - September 21, 2008
First of all, let me thank all of you for continuing your support and helping to fight our cause over the Summer while there was a lapse in activity on the site. We certainly appreciate your dedication. Of course, with such a strong conviction for the cause we really don't have any other choice. The great news is that we're back in business, and even better our old buddy Kyle is essentially scratched from championship contention. Please allow me to share an excerpt from my June 17th post entitled "How About No Championships."
"What's going to happen when the Chase comes and everybody else in the field has been growing more and more tired of your shenanigans over the course of the season? I'm sure there are already guys out there who won't let you win this championship, and by the end of the year there could only be even more. So good luck, Kyle. The way you are making friends out there is sure to be an asset in your quest for the Sprint Cup. We are certainly looking forward to your inevitable collapse!"
First there was Bristol. Carl Edwards showed that nobody is going to take it anymore. Go ahead, Kyle, and try picking on people. It's sad in a way. Sort of like the kid that tries to be a bully but that no one is really scared of. Well much to our delight Edwards gave ol' Kyle the equivalent of a super wedgie after his awesome victory. Richmond was nice, too. Dale Jr.'s "unintentional" payback was mighty tasty as far as I'm concerned. But the only thing that matters after all of this is the Chase. Kyle was apparently so unstoppable and had this colossal lead with all of his precious bonus points. Where are you now, Kyle? Pretty much smack dead in last place, with not much chance of coming back, only TWO RACES IN! Karma. Karma, Kyle. A broken sway bar and a blown engine aren't a great path to the Championship. Hmmm, both equipment failures. Maybe your own team even got sick of your crap and decided to take you down. No, that's not likely. I'm sticking with karma.
So I hope that all you bandwagon Kyle fans had fun this year, because it's all over. See if you can sell your gear on eBay. Or just burn it, but don't inhale the smoke. I don't expect to hear from any of you, really. You've probably all jumped ship to becoming Carl Edwards fans by now anyhow. So thanks for playing, and here's to hoping for more in the next 8 races.
I've said it before and I'll keep on saying it ... Kyle Busch Sucks!
